These classes are designed for anyone interested in natural health and self-care.
Come learn a simple, effective bodywork that relieves stress, headaches, back pain, and much more. Ortho-Bionomy is easy to learn, and can have a positive impact on improving reflexes, speeding recovery rates, and restoring balance to the body.
Ortho-Bionomy taps into the individual pattern, completely acknowledging and affirming the body in the moment. It is non-protocol based allowing you to follow the "preferred posture" and the "ease of movement" presented to you as you work on the body. Gentle and non-invasive, it blends well with other modalities.
No previous experience is necessary to participate in Part One of this Basic class.
The first 2 days of this Basic will cover working with the body using gentle, easy to use, non-invasive techniques. You will become familiar with the origins and concepts of Ortho-Bionomy, and learn hands-on positioning techniques that allow the body to rediscover its own ideal and bring itself back to balance. Specific releases for the spine, ribs, and many general techniques for the entire body will be covered this weekend.
Your take away: You have the ability to complete wonderfully satisfying Ortho-Bionomy sessions for family and friends. And, on the second morning of the class you will put into practice what you learned on the first day and complete a Full Body 20 Minute Ortho-Bionomy Session.
Days 3 and 4 will focus on releases for the pelvis, hips, knees, elbows, wrists, shoulders, ribs, sacrum and scapula. You will continue applying the concepts and principles of Ortho-Bionomy as you gain a deeper understanding of how they relate to the body.
Your take away: Practical application of the techniques by starting each morning of the class with a full body 20 minute exchange. This not only teaches you how to apply the work, it also allows your body to release accumulated stress and pain so you are in a relaxed comfort state to enhance learning.
